All work and no play...

With the weather getting colder there is more time spent inside and less time spent in the garden. We recently finished landscaping in the front yard by the deck. Sadly this may be the last garden project of this season :-(

These pictures show progress on our GEP (grass eradication program)....before the deck, after the deck and finally with the new landscaping.
Seems like I spend most of the time in the studio getting ready for upcoming shows. Out of a new creative burst emerged these JunkYard Dogs.

Today I go on a scouting mission to find bits to create more JunkYard Dogs.

Trapping Evil Spirits

A few years ago when we were at Kentuck we saw our first bottle tree and ever since have been possessed by them. We had to have one. So after drinking many bottles of wine we finally had enough bottles to make our own bottle tree. Last week, Deb spent a day in the barn welding rebar and this was the result.
What is a bottle tree?
The bottle tree's origins can be traced back to Africa. It was believed that bottles suspended in the trees would attract evil spirits when the sun glimmered through the bottles. The evil spirits would then be trapped in the bottles.
